Well i sold my 89 2.3 and bought this 88 5.0. .... Until next year. Im going to sell it and buy a really nice 2.3 and turbo it. The 5.0 is fast but parts are REALLY expensive. Here are a couple pics if your interested. http://forums.stangnet.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=17811&stc=1
Heres a side shot http://forums.stangnet.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=17815&stc=1 Here is a pic of the front damage. OwCh http://forums.stangnet.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=17817&stc=1 Sorry the pics dont show up, im clueless on how to do that Info: Its a 88 5.0 Auto. i think it has a 3' cowl hood, Autometer oil gauge, Ram air, Mmmm pretty much bone stock. Im gettina 3:73 next week hopfully and it has new springs in back. 71,000 miles. Runs ok. Except i hear a knock somtimes but its old so yea
Just make sure you beat it accordingly. Don't want it to break before you save up for the 2.3 Turbo. Good luck with it. Did you change the oil & filter and check all the other fluids yet? If there is a knock you definitely want to check the oil out. Maybe add some Lucas Oil or Slick 50.
I checked them all already. It needs a full tune-up soon but i got bills so... Its a GT with LX Taillights. I didnt like the GT ones. I dunno why . Just my own opinion i guess.
It's not that bad. It has some problems though. It idles funny somtimes. Its weird It will be fine then it will jump to 1500 and just stay there . And im leakin antifreeze some where. Its hard to look at stuff in the winter, i hate workin on my cars in the cold it SUCKS
20w50 mobile 1 and fl1a motorcraft filter. run about 30 bucks. you can get a tune up kit from Downs Ford (www.thefordsource.com) for about 80 bucks I think, Includes- spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, pcv valve, and cap&rotor
