New rear spoiler

I just bought a new rear spoiler for my 07 GT. It's the GT 500 style. I wanted to be sure I bought one that would cover the holes from the stock spoiler and it will, problem is, it will not cover all the very sticky adhesive that helped hold the old spoiler on. Question is- what is best way to get this off without harming paint? I really don't want to have to get these two little spots repainted!

Goof off, goo be gone, WD40.
All available everywhere.
Then clean and wax.

Thanks, I'll try that. I hope I haven't scratched paint! Unbelievable how tight that adhesive holds them on.

FYI: Next time you do something like that, use fishing line and WD40. Do it in a sawing motion...

Yes on all counts EXCEPT the wax. Do NOT wax the area. Apply the spoiler and than wax the visible areas. Waxing the trunk lid where the spoiler sits will cause the tape to not get a good adhesion.

Next time I'll ask before I start, not my style though! haha. Just like reading the directions only if I have to!
