i been thinking about upgrading my intake manifold. Wondering if the 600$ price tag would be worth it? Is it reall better than the stock if so by how much? then will it fit under the stock hood. 01 mustang gt spider2 body kit molded with custom frost blue pearl paint.:D

I personally think it is worth it if you are planning on using the spray, otherwise i would stay with the stocker because it really isn't that bad.Doesn't trap heat, and it is light, and other companies are having trouble coming up with an intake for street use with a mild combo that can top the stocker,or go with the Bullitt which has been proven.

Actually...i heard from people who have actually had their car dynoed with these intakes, that you actually lose a couple of hp.....however, they can be prted for a bit of a gain.....for me...even if you do lose 2-3 hp...its worth it when it comes to security for boost and n2o applications. but the price is a bit steep....If they were around $399. we would be all over them..
For the money, the bullitt intake is where its at though.

That intake is a made in China POS that is worthless. :nonono:
I know of a few people on this board that said they lost rwhp
and that it didn't even fit correctly. :notnice:

check out the nov. 06 issue of MMFF, they do a full review and install.
they claim about a 10 hp gain mostly in the mid rpm range, and this is
on a near stock 99 gt. but they probably get paid to say good things
about products like this. like 1low said ...that thing probably gets incredibly
hot and it is 11 lbs heavier.:(

I wouldn't waste my money unless i was running the bottle, even then i would probably go with the Bullitt intake if that was the case.
