Yesterday I was at a stoplight and a 370z pulled up, light went green and we both eased on them pretty good, got caught by the next light that has a pretty good straight stretch leading into the country. Light turns green we pull off and neither one of us will shift out of first, when I hear him romp down I start to smile so hear we go.... stayed about 2 or 3 cars in front until about the end of third when I decided I proved my point and backed off. Getting to old for that stuff but boy was it fun. Just had to share.

i raced one a few weeks ago and got destroyed, but he was running slicks though so it was over as soon as we took off. they're pretty quick cars nonetheless

My buddy has a brand new one that is loaded with all the options. I raced him at the local track last Friday and I mus say, those things a quick! He ran a 8.7 (this is 1/8th mile). I beat him with an 8.02 though :)

And what kind of car are we referring to? GT, Cobra, or what?

Btw, I though Stangnet had this thing where you couldn't discuss street racing unless op somehow insinuated that there were all these traffic lights at the local drag strip.:Track:

His car is a 99 GT (full exhaust, cold air, throttle body, typhon intake, cams, pulleys, gears and custom tune) Not sure what a new 370 runs but if he says he took one I believe him. He's not one for telling tall tales. Or he could have been driving his wifes 08 GT, haven't talked to him yet.

^Gee, I don't know if I should welcome you to the site or welcome you back. Anyways, I don't think it's a matter of believing that op beat a 370Z. But those 370s have 330+ hp. Which is pretty impressive for a lil ole six. That car makes me think Ford needs to step their game up.
