I also got a kick out of this quote. To those who say that the american public doesn't trust republicans, here's your wake up call. 2 democrat states voting in repubs. The 2010 elections should be interesting. It will be even funnier if the dems end up forcing health care through before the election. I guess they didn't learn from the assault weapons ban. Oh, and let me not forget..
Republicans suck!! People put all this belief in them and then realize they just voted in the same old crappy, self-centered, politicians.
People get tired of the Democrats so they vote in the Republicans. They then get tired of the Republicans so they vote in the Democrats. They then get tired of the Democrats so they vote in the Republicans...
Why's that? I'm sure 0bama will end up being a great president. Just look at his record as a senator sponsoring landmark legislation and making decisive votes.
I heard someone on the radio talking the other day about "Operation Clean Slate" Didn't have much luck googling it, but it did sound like a good idea. Basically the deal is you don't vote for any encumbent all the way down to local level. If they are running unopposed, you write someone in.
As I posted in another thread, we have been talking about this in NJ for quite some time. It's called GRIP. Get Rid of Incumbent Politicians. GRIP - Get Rid of Incumbent Politicians
Maybe we should just hold lotteries and if you win you get sent to Washington to serve in congress. Maybe require that you be a high school grad above a certain age and own a home. Would that be discriminatory?
Yes... Thanks for playing, try again. And FWIW, I don't think I know better than the founding fathers. I think I'll stick with a vote. I would just like to see fradulent groups like ACORN removed from the mix and affecting the vote of the public.
Yeah I can see your point. It just seems like it's all so far out of hand that it's ridiculous. Do you believe the people representing you in congress are actually representing you? As far as fraudulent groups like ACORN being removed from the mix, maybe we should remove the Republican and Democratic parties too. You know the work hard behind the scenes to affect who votes when and for whom.
i think what needs to happen is that we reset how senators are sent to washington. it needs to go back to the old way of doing it where the state legislatures send the senators rather than the people voting for them. we also need to go to washington for a two step voting process for congress this time, bullets then ballots. anyone who survives the first round is welcome to try the second round.
Obama campaigned for 2 dems and they lost, he doesn't campaign in NY and they win Blue dogs will turn on O and health care for this.
Honestly dude, I have watched over the last two years your comments degenerate further and further until this. Now you are no better than people who say "LOL libtards!" You can do better than this. WE have been failed by republicans and democrats alike.
Thanks for noticing. Sure we've been burned by both parties, but it was the republicans that won and have these guys so pleased. They are hoping this will lead to more repubs in congress. Considering all their let's not do anything, not even fully admit there are any problems that need addressing, that is the absolute last thing we need to have happen. Not to mention the punks had a good 6 years of having everything "their" way and what happened?? We got crapped on while the world went to poop. Posted via Mobile Device
Considering the democrats don't need a single republican to get something passed, let's give it a rest about about nothing getting done. If the dems really want to do something, they can do it all on their own. They just choose not to. As far as the last six years, I am of the opinion that more damage has been done this year than in the last 6 years combined. Just wait till cap and tax goes into effect and you are paying over $4 a gallon for gas again. However, IIRC, you support high gas prices when it's not Bush. As far as the world going to poop, you really don't pay too much attention to what's going on, do you? I'm sure it is a cooincidence that Russia is practicing a full out attack against Poland now that we have agreed to dismantle the missile defennse system and got nothing in return. The public tide is turning. Look at the generic '10 polls. If the dems pass 0bamacare, they will get routed from congress in record numbers. If they don't they will still lose enough seats to end their reign of terror. The house of cards is falling down. People are starting to see that voting for a catchphrase and against someone who wasn't runninng might not have been the best idea in the world. And 0bama shows no signs of listening to the people who voted him in. I've lived in NJ most of my life and to see it go red was quite a shock!
