Whenever I turn on my headlights, all my gauges stop working except the speedometer and oil pressure. The gauge lights don't work, it says my high beams are on, and the blinker lights light up. I can't drive at night in the rain because when the headlights are on, the windshield whipers don't want to work either. Even during the day when I don't have my lights on and I flip the wipers on, the tach, battery, fuel, and temp guages move up and down with the wipers. And when the lights are on, my stereo starts playing even if the keys are out.
I don't know much about electrical stuff on my car, a friend that works at autozone told me it's my ignition switch but I don't have the $60 to replace that if that's not it. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on what it could be? Now that it's starting to be fall, it rains almost every night out here so I can't drive it anymore. Please help!
