I have a 1970 Mustang convertible. The break warning light doesn't work. I have checked the bulb and that works fine. The plug at the pressure block looks good. Could it be something wrong with the pressure block or proprtioning valve. Without the light working I can't set the proportioning valve and the rear breaks lock up in a hard stop.

The "plug" is an electrical ground switch only. The light has nothing to do with the disc brake proportioning valve, which is sealed, and cannot be adjusted. If your rear brakes are locking, the proportioning valve has gone bad, or something is wrong with the brakes themselves.

test the wires to the switch on the proportioning block. one side should be hot
the rear brake lock up problem may be that the proportioning valve has triped
it has a piston inside, if the front should loose fluid the piston will trip shutting
off the front if it looses fluid in the rear the valve will shut off the rear. they are a pain in the but to reset .some times it only moves just enough to make one end of the
car have more brakes than the other that sounds like your problem
