Not Degreeing a Cam causing stalling?

I know its the wrong car and year but still basic premise.....My friend has a 93 lincoln Mark 7 with the 5.0. He recently upgraded to gt-40 heads, cobra intake, 65 mm throttle body, fox computer to switch to mass air, b cam, 30 lb injectors, 255lph, and exhaust. Ever since he has had it done, he has had a stalling problem when he shifts his automatic trans from park to drive, or drive to reverse. Other wise it drives fine. I told him other than his injectors being on the big side, he probably has a vacuum leak or should upgrade to some kind of sct chip or tune. He told me today the shop that installed everything told him today that he should have the cam degreed to 4deg advancedand that would solve it.....thats bs isn't it. This shop is a joke...it took me and my other bud 10 hours to install h/c/i and new fuel system on my car, and they had his car for 2 1/2 weeks. I am correct in saying that is a wrong assumption by them right. Any help would be appreciated.:SNSign:
