Notch Trunk lift springs/rods

Can someone post some pics of the rods/springs that lift the trunk in a stock Notch, please? I can't figure out how they are supposed to go in and its a pain in the ass having to hold the trunk lid open to get in the trunk......

I think if i could see pics of the rods in the slots on either side of the trunk compartment i might figure it out.....

i bought the car without them and found a set i'd like to put in.......
