Odometer not working.

Hey guys!

Im thinking of buying a vert but the odometer does not work. What can be the cause for this? Would I have to change the whole cluster?

Its a 1988 Gt vert. Thanks!

Does the speedometer work? Probably not. I'd say the speedo gear in the tranny is stripped (like mine has 3 times now) and not spinning the cable, but it could also be that the cable is disconnected at the back of the cluster or broken.
