No, I think streetability means capable of being a DD but NOT necessarily DD. In other words, mine is a 3rd car but just because I can drive it on the street does not define it streetable. So far 62% are going with that basic definition.

theres no global definition of streetable -- it means so many different things to so many different people..

I'd say as long as i can get 5-10mpg around town and the car doesn't over heat its streetable..

Not all of us "need" power steering - not all of us "need" A/C - not all of us need an interior either

Some people are willing to deal with more "crap" than others - I like reliability and performance... sadly, that does not come cheap

As long as it passes inspection, then its streetable IMO

Mine bucks pretty hard at some stop signs, but of course it isn't tuned yet (till spring when it has a date with SGS automotive). It also wags its tail pretty decent at lights from the h/c/i... I still consider it streetable, but I think once you have a car that has no carpet, one seat, no bumper supports, or something that requires a vacuum pump to have brakes, I think you've taken a dive into "street legal track car."

Well really any car is "streetable" as long as its legal. But if you want to just make this simple, the bottom line is streetable is going to be when a person can drive their car on a regular basis and not be annoyed or frustrated with any of its manners. What more can you possibly say streetable is? Those frustrations will vary with EVERY person so defining it is stupid. But lets keep the disagreements going for a few more pages and make it interesting.:lol:
