The topic pretty much sums it up.

I would like to hear from someone that actually is running or has had this setup. Offroad H-pipe and 1 chamber flows on any 99+GT. I am looking for LOUD!! Loudness is my goal afterall for even considering the 1 chambers, just not excessively loud to the point of cops pulling me over while at the traffic light.

I have heard nearabout every other exhaust combination under the sun in person except for this. I've been in stangs with offroad/2 chambers and I love the exhaust note, however it's not loud enough for me....just not quite. So, when I romp on the go-go pedal with the 1 chambers, will people think I have a seriously loud flowmaster noiserocket or will they assume I'm running a raspy open exhaust?

and yes, I've done a search for this topic... but haven't been able to find a sure answer. and yes, I know people will tell me not to have a 14 sec car sounding like it should run 9's... but I don't think i'll be running 9's anytime soon and would love to have a faster-than-I-am sound.

    any help appreciated

This is a clip of 1-chambers on an 02 GT. It has the factory headers and H-pipe :nice:

Solid Snake - That clip sounds BAD AS Heck (new rules followed). Is this your clip? Do you know for sure they are single chambers flowmasters? Sounds like magnaflows to me... wow - I want that sound out of my Cobra :D

That is the sound I want, but I am told that with SC cars you really need straight through type mufflers... so I am going to go with the magnaflows - I want that growl, just not earth shakeing loud :)

Maybe cams will help out? At least that will give you more of a muscle car sound

I bet that Long tubes and cams will help mellow out the pure wildness of one chambers. Perhaps then it will be more refined, but still loud?
