Bought an 03 mach last friday and I was gonna wash it and wax it soon as the weather clears. Is it ok to wax the stripe on the hood?

I wouldn't do it only because of the wax buildup in between the two lines, it'll form a white residue in there most tight unless you wanna get gangsta with it and put some SERIOUS elbow grease in it.

I debated on whether to wax my stripes or not after I first bought my Mach. I thought, what the heck, and waxed them. Yeah, the wax gets up tight against the border of the stripes but it takes only a tiny bit of extra effort to get it out. To me, it's worth it to just wax right over them. It seems like the stripes are cleaner looking after being waxed cause their's no crud build up on the stripe. :nice:

That's the beauty of a white car, can't see the build up : ). But seriously I haven't waxed my stripes at all, too afraid it might f them up.

A very knowlegdable Mustang restorer told me not to wax the hood stripe on my 35th 'Limited". It will eventually cause issues. I have never waxed mine and My 6 yr old hood sticker look really good still.

Thats the beauty of Zaino. Leaves no white haze on black trim or residue around stripes. :)
