I ran into T-3 turbo brand new. So, does it look new ? What you all think? I wanna upgrade my T-3 to T-3/T04 one day, but brand new stocker sounds good to me...
Well, first off, that's not a Thunderbird turbo...if it is, it sure does have an oddball turbine elbow on it because that's not the kind my T3 from an '84 Turbo Coupe has. Also mine doesn't have an adjustable wastegate stock, and overall that turbo has some oddball looking stuff about it. Of course, being that it's a parts store replacement, maybe it doesn't have all the same parts as the factory turbo. beats me.
My only response now is.... WTF? That is one weirdass turbo. It doesn't have a T3 2-bolt inlet flange...I dunno what the deal is with the turbine-manifold flange, doesn't look like any standard flange I know of. At any rate, I'd stay far away from that thing.
