Not sure about what you asked with the 02 sensor but you need to lengthen them (easy enough) and I have not had one go bad or had any issues with one yet!

I asked in one of the posts closer to the top, but I thought I would have to extend them? Can I did it myself or must I buy o2 extentions?

You can do it yourself. Just solder the wires together instead of using crimp connectors so you get a nice resistance free connection. Make sure to use some shrink tube over the connections to keep moisture and dirt out of them also.
