pcv platic piece?

i am sure this is a beginer question but i am hoping for some help. when i bought my pcv awhile ago it came with a plactic top that looked like an "F". i just took that piece off and hooked the hose up with out the plastic "F".

are you supposed to use that plastic piece? if you are how does the hose hook up.

i apologize for the beginner question but any help will be greatly apreciated.

That part is not used on a fuel injected Fox Mustang. Just pitch it.

FWIW, I use it, but I also use the included plug for the smaller port..............

I used the f part of it also..it doesn't matter either way
