Not at all. They are a business...making money is expected. The point is basically I hate the games that are played. Part of the business I guess.

The last one I bought was in 2005. Had a decent salesman and a trade-in. They tried to lowball me bad on the trade, so I walked. Wasn't much haggling on price as I got the fleet discount through the company I work for. I wasn't rude, just told them what I wanted (was a fair price - they have to make money too) and walked out when they wouldn't meet it or come close.

But, I got called when I arrived home and they got within 500 of my asking price for the trade so I did it. Overall was happy.

The only thing I didn't like was them pushing me so hard on how much I owed on my trade (which was very little). I didn't tell them because I wanted to see what they would give me. Smart? Dunno.... but the guy commented something about playing hardball then tried to lowball the hell out of me.

Car selling tactics by dealers and salespeople have always interested my for some reason...lol.
