My only problem with the '05 V6's is the grille looks like ass with no fog lights, and the V6's seem to be the ones the dealers are dressing up the most. Every '05 with rockers stripes I've seen says M U S T A N G in big letters on the bottom of the door. Cause most people would mistake an '05 Mustang for anything else? And the stripe's not even a tri-bar stripe.

I say burn this thread, or.... turn it into another V6 forums are dead thread, like V6 forums are dead pt. 2 "the revenge of the 3.8l"
It would be like Revenge of the Nerds. That what all of us are in the Pony car world, nerds basically. I must be the biggest, an auto V6. Wow.
No fog lights does make them fugly, but I think the addition of the pony package is worse than nothing. The small lights and corral around the horse looked best on the 65 and it should have STAYED that way. But I do think dealers are dressing up the 6's because those are not nearly as hot as the GT's, they tend to sit on the lots longer then 3 hours (now the average time a GT sits on a lot in the entire US). Still wouldnt buy a new V6 over my current V6, not enough of a car to really grab my attention. However, we all know the GT is an entirely different story.
05 Mustangs are weak. Especially v6's. What can you do about it if somebody wants to say that? Its the INTERNET. Grow a set. If you like your car, good for you who gives a F what other people say? I dont get sensitive people who post on internet forums. They must be gluttons for punishment.
05=awsome design 05=poor V6 choice the 4.2 truck block would have made a better choice. the only reason the 4.0 was chosen is because ford wanted an OHC engine for the entire lineup the colonge block based 4.0 is a good engine but not nearly as much potential as the Essex block has ancestry of the 4.0=2.6/2.8 german 60 deg pinto/capri block ancestry of the essex=buick231 crossed with 335/385 series V8 heads essex has more potential. the block is far beefier and the heads flow just as good or better as the 4.0 heads even fully ported all in all ford could have made a far worse choice to replace the essex like the 3.0 DOHC. nice HP but no torque. at least the 4.0 has a nice blend of both. the mustang is the only car in the ford linup that really hits the mark. the rest are a joke. ford better wake up
