I washed the car, so I thought I'd post some pics of the 17x10.5 rims with 315/35-17 Nitto Drag Radials. I have H&R 25mm (1in.) spacers as well, and some think the wheels stick out too far. This should help everybody see where the tire sits relative to the fender well. -Jason
very nice....lot of meat lol...looks really mean..is ur car lowered ? did you keep the OEM SVT wheels at the front ?..not the same hubcap.
Looks good to me. As long as it doesn't hit the IRS bolt, moving the rear wheels outwards is what you gotta do if you wanna run the wide tires out back on an IRS 'stang (it's not like your setup is ghetto wide -LOL). Don't worry about it.
I like the way it looks. Also, the rears still have the replica center caps. I didn't feel like changing them out with the stockers when I switched the rear wheels. It doesn't bother me. They hook up great, and that is the most important thing.
I think they stick out too far when looking directly at the car from behind. I love the wide tire look but not if it's sticking out of the wheelwell, or at least appearing like it. If that was more towards the wheelwell an inch or two on both sides it would look absolutely killer. I know it won't work because of that damn IRS bolt but we can dream can't we!
Well, I also think the current Mustang rear fender design is kind of a bastige anyway. The top of the fender lip sticks out so far, and the bottom is drawn in so much. The tire and wheel are about flush with the top of the fender. Because the bottom edge is so retracted, it looks funny from a few different angles with wide tires/wheels. Oh, well. I'll take what helps handling and sticks on the street.
