I painted my ponys using Dupli Color Low gloss black I masked off the lip of the wheel & it was stock silver not polished. http://www.geocities.com/dadngt/overgtside.jpg After a year with the black wheels I deside to go back to silver, using Dupli Color Silver wheel paint. http://www.geocities.com/dadngt/grassynoel.JPG Best thing about this is that you can now fix your own wheels lol. My ponys are nearly as old as the car & before I got the nerve to paint them they were in bad shape. I agree the gun metal color would loo great on your car also.
I agree. I don't blame him though. Sometimes ya get the urge to change things up a bit. Looks incredibly clean as is. FWIW, my wheels are powder coated (silver LX hatch in post #2). I love that machined lip look.
i put that thread on favorites for when i do mine, but i dont have a paint gun or angle grinder...what other way do you think that could be done? i may be using a rattle can but i dont mind spendind the time with the lip
