OK peeps I had a chance to clean up the stang and decided to do a review (show off 8) ) First up PB BnB I started by cleaning the wheel with my Megs wheel brush and Quick and Easy (QEW) car wash soap. Then I dried the tires thoroughly with my Autogeek Mango mf towels. Using a foam paint brush (makes spreading it easy and even) I applied a thin line across the tip of the brush and "painted" it on (makes for less waste as well). Before After Next up one of the best products I used is PB Trim restorer. I made sure during the wash that I really cleaned the trim so to have a good surface to work on. I used a mf towel but would recommend the foam paint brush technique, the mf towel absorbed it more then spread it around (I used a foam paint brush before and it worked spreading it better) so I used more then last time :-[. Using the mf towel and using as little as possible product I started with nice and even stroks over lapping each other slightly. If your trim is in really bad shape (like mine) it will streak at first you just need to let it sit of about 10 min then go over the area again. I did 2 coats to ensure full coverage and my trim was really faded and needed it. Before: After (2 coats and buffed 10 min after last coat to ensure removal of any excess) Here a during application snap shot: I also used for the first time since bought Clearkotes Quick Shine quick detailer (bought from Bob) and I must say I was very impressed at the gloss and wetness (also WOW) factor after use. I sprayed a mist of QS to each panel and buffed using my PB mega plush mf towel (and showing off my new rims ). Any comment welcomed...
Your going to love how great PB works indirect sunlight. Living in an apartment I don't have the luxury of a lot of shade, and PB has had it extremly easy for me to clean the stang. Also the result you get from PB is stunning compared to over the counter products.
How much did the Poorboys Trim restorer set you back? I only ask because I just recently purchased a small bottle of Mother's Back to Black, which accomplishes the same thing (and smells really good too ), for $4.99.
TR is 12.99 but I rarely pay full price I think I got it for $8 for 16oz. The differnce between the two is you have to reapply B2B eveyweek for a bit then it somewhat tapers off. TR you apply once a month, I did this before but keept delaying reapplication until it was all gone and looked like crap again.
Ah I guess that would be a better choice then. The B2B bottle was pretty small for $5.. dont remember off the top of my head what the volume was.
Wystang-how are you getting the Poorboys so cheap? I've been getting the 10% discount but that's all. Doesn't really save too much. I'm wanting to start ordering a lot more of their products because I detail on the side. More savings means more money for me!
Start watching detailcity.org Steve the owner of Poorboys hangs out there alot (along with other venders who carry Poorboys, clearkote, and more) they sometimes announce sales for forum members only (through pm's and emails) or just general sales to all (when Steves anniversaries sales happend everything is cheap). Also autogeek has a forum as well (autogeekonline.net) were they anounce sales in there discounts and specials forum. Also Bob at Danase.com has his own forum were he announces sales all the time and if you join his forum you can get 15% off from his store (he carries Poorboys and Clearkote). You can only see danase.com sales forum as a logged in member. Autopia.org has a "good deals" forum were members let every one know who has a sale. You just have to look for whats on sale....
Perfect example of Steve hooking up members http://www.detailcity.org/forums/po...8533-chemists-mistake-leather-stuff-sale.html If you weren't a member you wouldn't know you'd get a fee upgrade
