I know that ceramic coating them keeps them nice, but will powdercoating them help? Will the paint just burn off after a while?

You could just get some ceramic spray in a can.

Some lady called the other day and tole me her wallpaper wasnt sticking to her paneling. When i asked her if it was primed she did not know. I was telling her that if its just wood, then its not primed, but if it look painted then it is primed/painted.
She told me she would have to call me back.

they make high temp rated powercoating...like 1200deg or so. Probably the same stuff they use for jet-hot
Yeah, there is a paint that contains ceramic particles thats good for like 1200*F, you can get it at any parts store usually. I'd just get a can of that in silver or black. AS for prep, clean them up as much as possible by sanding or sandblasting. Then just paint over the bare metal, I'm pretty sure you don't use any type of primer with these paints, but check the label first to make sure.
I just powdercoated my headers with a high temp powder made for headers. I should know in a few weeks how it holds up.

Killer, let me know how it holds up! I have a powder coat setup and oven and im interested in that. I cant remember where i found it, but it was on some website and i wanted to try it when i build another turbo setup
Will do! I have the eastwood hot coat kit and use their high temp powder. With any luck the car will fire in the next 2 weeks.
