I have the bracket installed and moved the power distribution box and windshield washer reservoir in my 1994 Mustang GT to make room for it. I have a few questions.

    1. What angle/direction should the power steering pump 90 degree elbow (came with the ATI kit) be pointing and where should I route the hose to keep it from rubbing or interfering with any pulleys. The manual doesnt have a good pic or good directions.

    2. Which bolts holes on the Procharger should be used to mount it to the new ATI Procharger/Power Steering/Air Conditioning bracket? How many bolts and what sizes to use? How should the Procharger be oriented to not interfere with the fender under the hood? It seems to also rub against some of the components of the Air Conditioning. There is not a good picture or good instructions in the manual as far as the mounting of the Procharger and which holes should line up and its orientation etc.

    3. There was a bolt with a space screwed into the mounting face of the Procharger with a tag on it to remind you to put the ATI lubricant in the Procharger. Which is fine, but the tag also said to screw the bolt all the way in securely. LMAO. If the bolt is screwed all the way in, then how the hell does the Procharger mount flush in the Procharger bracket with a bolt in the face of it. That is a funny one. Unless I am missing something and I am pretty smart. Where does the bolt really go and the spacer?

It seems to not be a good fit in my 1994 Mustang as ATI claims. I am happy with the quality etc. but the instructions are weak and the fitment seems to be off. I read somewhere, maybe on Stangnet of someone having to beat their fender with a hammer to keep the Procharger from rubbing it and fitting correctly.

I think that is all of my questions for now. I have already extended the alternator wires and am working the battery relocation. Next will be to jack it up to install the intercooler and inline fuel pump. I think it is a no brainer after that.

Thanks to anyone out there that has a P1SC in there 94 GT that responds to this and attempts to help me out. Maybe I can return the favor sometime. My personal email is tbonerex@aol.com <mailto:tbonerex@aol.com>

    Thanks,
    Thomas a.k.a. T-Bone :D

    1. The angle of the power steering pump is at an 45 degree angle. If you set the pump in the bracket it will align itself and use the original bolts you took off the pump.

    2. Use the bolts from the kit and the directions which will show you which bolts to use. In order for the procharger to not interfer with the fender I deleted one of the smaller "s" elbows and I never had to beat on my fenderwell. It is a tight fit but you should not have to beat on the fender well. Also you will not have any rubbing against the A/C components.

    3. The bolt that I believe you are referring to on the Procharger needs to be removed from the unit and repositioned once the procharger is attached to the bracket. It will have to be removed from the procharger to put it on the bracket.

The fit is not that easy and sounds like you are experiencing the same troubles I had. The intercooler bracket will need to be bent in the shape of the number 7 to fit on the front bumper as well. Now for the pump I hope you also put in an intank 225lph pump. Else you will not have sufficient fuel. I run the inline and an intank 225lph intank high pressure pump. Hope this helps out and good luck. Oh I do not know your mods but hope you have atleast 30lb injectors too. Hope everything goes well I've had mine on since last April and absolutely love it. Let me know your mods and I can help you will some unforseen things but most importantly get it dyno tuned.

I am looking at getting a TWEECER so I can learn more about how it all works and tune it myself. I am a Computer Technician so all that stuff is interesting to me and I have learned a lot about cars (besides tinkering with my Dad when I was a kid.) I have did all the work myself except the cam and gears of course. And yes, I know I have more in it that it is worth ... but I am 36 and have dreamed of having a 94 Mustang GT since the day it came out. I finally bought one and went nuts I reckon. But, it is a hobby. I dont race or anything except on occasion on the street for a few yards if someone tempts me, LOL. But, enough jabbering ... here is what is going on now.

I am installing an A-pillar pod for 3 guages and a dash pod for two guages ... the Boost guage and fuel ratio guage installs are ongoing and will be completed by the time the Procharger is. Also, I have a Tach installed and fuel pressure guage on the fuel rail. All guages are Autometer. I hope to eliminate the fuel rail guage and install an Autometer Elec. one in the interior.

I am finishing up the head/intake install now and am partially working on the Procharger install as I go along.

Should I use the FMU that goes with the Procharger? I have read on here of some that have and some that havent. Even some in MM&FF where ATI said you dont really need it for some applications.

Future additions ... upper and lower adj. control arms UPR or Steeda or Granatelli, alum. radiator, I lost my train of thought. When this one lets go, a 331 or 347 stroker later some day.

Anyway, any pointers you have on the Procharger install will be helpful as this is my first attempt at it. I am not sure about the fuel pump installs. Doesnt look to be too difficult to me. I can learn as I go. I have the P/S pump mounted as you say ... but didnt know which direction the 90 degre elbow for the P/S line should go that came with the Procharger Kit. I will play with fitment some more. Like I said the pics in the Procharger manual dont show any closeup detail or connections. Nor do the instructions say anything at all about which of the 4 bolts in the kit to use. One is for the coil and I will assume the other three which are diff. lengths are for mounting the main unit to the bracket. Feel free to give me as much information as you have time to type. I would rather have too much, if there is such a thing, as none at all. I am not so conceited I cant learn from others experiences. I really do appreciate the response and information.

i've heard that some people do not run the fmu with 36 or 42lb injectors but they also have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I believe mine came with the bolts already in the head unit and I just had to unbolt them and rebolt them when I connected the procharger unit to the bracket. I was looking to see if I had any pics of the install that showed which bolts I used but what you could do is see which ones screw inside the procharger unit and use those to connect the unit with the bracket. I would also look into getting the 2 core or 3 core radiator as soon as possible because the procharger will create alot of heat which will reduce performance. In fact under boost conditions the engine temperature will raise fairly quickly from the "r" in normal to about the "A" in normal on the gauge. After I got the fluidyne radiator my gauge never moved above the "o" in normal This winter and I can not wait to see the difference this summer because at a dead stop the gauge would climb quickly while at traffic lights. Also put some water wetter in the radiator or go to a trucking company and ask for some radiator additive to combat electrolysis. The one I bought is called power cool 3000 and it prevent that white powdery substance from building in the radiator and other deposits. Once I installed the bracket and left the one s pipe off the piping fit like a charm if you do not know which one i'm referring to I can take a pic and email you. I like the set up you have and it apparent you have done some research but no mention of tranny. I just recently installed a tremec T56 in mine. Well if you have any other questions or concerns let me know. Thanks

I have installed the X2C Motorsports modified Tremec TKO v1.0 Transmission with Tremec shifter (may go back to a Pro 5.0). I will move to the axles and rear suspension by the end of the summer I hope. And thanks for complimenting me on my setup. It is nice to have hard work noticed and appreciated. I need to get that new paint job next, LOL. I think the Procharger will really top it all off. I might get up the courage to race it once someday.

Yes, any pics that you are willing to take and share and any input is welcome as I said before.

I have thought about the radiator upgrade ... I just wasnt sure which way to go. I will work on that upgrade as soon as the current Procharger and guage install is completed.

Thanks for posting back so quickly and with such good advice and assistance. A close-up picture of the P/S pump connections, the Procharger orientation etc. would be a huge help to me. I want to do it right ... and your's must be right if it has been running well since Spring of last year. So, if you have time I would love to have the pictures. I dont want to have to undo a mistake I can save myself by taking your advice and pictures. My email is tbonerex@aol.com or my cable email is tbonerex@pclnet.net.

    Thanks again,
