questions about a 5.0 to 4.6 swap.

i could not get any replies in the 4.6 forum so i will try here.
my bro has a 93 vert & can get a 4.6 2v with cobra crank, forged internals, all electronics for $2000.
he has a TKO but can get the tr3650 tranny which has the new fix (handle 70lbs more torque) with a new spec stage 3 clutch.

my questions are about

motor mounting?
fuel pump (return to returnless)?
crossmember (which tranny should he use)?
how will exhaust line up?
what about traction control (can disable)?
any other issues to be known?
would this swap be worth it?

The only thing i know for sure is, i've heard that the wiring harness will have to be totally swapped over, making it nearly impossible to hook up a gauge cluster. In the new 5.0 there is a little article about a new company that is making custom wiring harnesses for this though, so in a couple years this will probably be a routine swap, but right now i'd guess that you'll have some serious roadblocks and have to custom fab. a lot of different things, like the exhaust, or at the very least the headers.

i will just tell him to build lower end.
up top is a set of TFS stage III's & Downs upper, 70mm T.B., 75mm maf, MSD digital 6, X303, 3.73's, aluminum ds & i am not sure about exhaust.

i think he is just tired of getting beat by me.
and thinks he should swap.
