quick question

im swaping a 351w into my 67 coupe and was wondering if the dipstick from my original 289 will work on the the 351w, both have the dipstick on the timming cover but dont know about the lenght.

The only real problem is that the 351w is a little taller
but it has nothing to do with the bottom it will just slip in and you will be ok. oil level should be the same.

The dipstck tube has a different height tab for the attachment bolt. Use both the 289/302 tube and stick, it'll work, but I'm pretty sure the attachment tab won't line up to any bolt hole on the 351. And just to make sure, add 5 quarts oil, start it, shut it off and check to see where the level is on the stick.

If after filling with oil it is not on the full mark you can always file a mark on the stick to show where full is.

yeah ill probably end up using the 289 dip stick, the mounting tab wont be a problem i find a way to attach it, thanks guys
