I'm installing a thermostat in a 302 that previously didn't have one in it. My question is which way does it go in (does the "pointy end" go in the water neck or intake)? It's been awhile since I did a thermostat install on a 302 and I forget. The car is carb'd and runs a normal rotation water pump with v-belts if it makes a difference. Thanks.
