has anyone on here uses the rear defroster as your antena? i wont be using car n winter so rear defrost isnt something im worried about having, but i think looks on my car would improve if i shaved the antena. how would i go about doing this? or is there another way?

It may work to some extent, but antenna's need to be tuned to the frequency of the transmission. I dont know if anyone has ever done it. Easy enough to try out!

There are kits for sale that use an antenna mounted in the windsheild.

There are some posts on here about filling the hole. To do it correctly, you are going to need to weld a piece of metal in the hole. A cheap and easy option is a cobra R delete plug available from 50resto.com
