Rancid Rotor Rust?!!!

I just bought a 96 Cobra about two months ago and the rotors rust extremely easily. Just sitting outside when it rains for a day will produce nasty rust on all of the rotors. Once I take it out driving the rust comes off. Any ideas why this is happening and if there is a fix??? Is it hurting my brake pads??? I have beautiful chrome rims that really show a large amount of the rotor and it just looks terrible. Thanks for any ideas.

That's obsolutely normal. It's not hurting the pads at all.The only way to stop it is 1)get the rotors cadmium(spelling?) plated (exspensive)
2)paint the rotors(ricey if done improperly)

Good luck.

Never heard of painting rotors?

They are iron dude, iron rusts easily. Get some carbon ceramic rotors! :nice:
