okay.. I am gettin ready to get the 347 goin again, for the second time. Some of you may remember that my oilpump driveshaft broke at the tip, and gave me no oil presssure. anyhow, got the pump off, it's not locked up. spins very freely. I got the new shaft in the mail today. I have the motor out, so I am going to install it this weekend. I have some questions. when I pulled out the broken one, the collar that goes on it was up towards the top. the tip broke off right at the colar. I have a pic but I have to get it downloaded first. Hopefully you understand. I thought this was weird though, because don't you put the collar on around the shaft down by the oil pump to keep it on the pump?? if not, please correct me. second, when I prime it should I do it with a socket and ratchet or a drill. IF I use a drill how fast should I go, and counterclockwise right??!! I am also going to put my distributor in with the motor out this time and turn the rotor to ensure that it isn't going to break again. anything I missed or any other tips, feel free to share. thanks a lot for the help. need to get this thing runnin!!!
