rear end leaking??

My 66 sat for three months (I was away) and when I got it out of the garage the other day, I noticed a small puddle under where the rear end had been.

I looked all around the pumpkin, and while it's greasy, there were no signs of dripping.

I tried to get that bolt (or whatever it is) on the back of the pumpkin off with no luck.

Questions: Is this likely a rear end leak? How do I check it??

should be able to see where its leaking from. Are you sure the stain isnt brake fluid instead of rear end grease? I ask this because there is a tee fitting that connects the brake lines from each wheel to the line that runs to the front of the vehicle, it usually sits on top of the rear end. Maybe its leaking?

If its the rear end you can clean it real good with break clean and smear a bead of RTV at the seam.
