Rear end solutions (v6 rear)?

The car I just bought still has the v6 rear end in it. Is there anything that I can reasonably do to build this rear-end up instead of having to replace it with an 8.8? I plan for my car to run 12s on motor, so it'll need to be fairly strong.

What do you guys think? Will I have to replace it or can I just build it up?

replace it.. Mustang sunlimted used to sell the rears with 3.73, 3.55, or 4.10 gears for under $1000.... that is a brand new assembly... cheaper than even a used 8.8 then doing gears, trac-lok, etc...

I would get a used 8.8 go to junkyard get a 31 spine diff, buy some beefed up axles and maybe a diff cover It should be less then buying a new rearend for $1000, of course you gave get the gears installed by you or someone you know that can do it for free.
