Redneck Smoke Machine

I had a vaccum leak that I was trying to chase down. Without a smoke machine it seamed impossible to find. I look online to buy a smoke machine. They are very high. So there was no way I was paying that. I got to looking at the product itself. Seamed fairly simple. So I put on my engineering hat on.
I took and moon shine jar drilled 2 holes in it. (It's glass so it takes awhile ) in those holes I put spark plug boots and sealed it with silicone. Line the bottom with foil. Put a peice of charcoal in it with a oily rag. Then light the charcoal. Hook one of the spark plug boots to a small air compresser, and the other to your main vaccum line. And poof you have a smoke machine that is under 5 bucks and that is operational.
Hope this helps someone. Don't judge this pic. This one was just a prototype. Next one will look better.

I tried the smoke bombs. The best result I got was with a oily rag. But whatever works.
