I just installed the Bullitt Pedal kit and found that my gas pedal spacer was almost completely compressed - rendering it useless as a spacer. I had used a piece of an engine vaccum hose held in place with cable ties and with all the right footing over time gave way to the metal clip. I ended up putting in a new spacer this time using a plastic wire connector with the end cut off held there by a hose clamp. If you went the easy route before as I did, you might want to have a look under your dash.
