Replace Or Paint?

I am currently restoring my 1990 5.0 convertible and cant find some of the exterior pieces: external a pillar covers and luggage rack.

I'm wondering if I should paint them or try to find replacements that are not discolored by the sun.

They are so hard to find

Your best bet if the ones you have are not banged up or rusted is to just remove them, give them a light sand and then repaint them with some SEM- 31943 black trim paint. I bought two cans for $14 on EBAY and redid my mirrors, cowl grate, and door trim.

ps. forgot to add LMRS sells the correct rivets for the luggage rack parts

I'm thinking about painting the moldings as well. Should I get them painted at the same time as the car or remove them and use that trim paint?
