Brakes Replaced Brakes Now The Front Are Locking Up Can Someone Help Me

:flag:
Hi everyone ~

I know this is the place to come, when you need answers!

I have a 99 mustang GT 4.6 L Convertible. Recently, I have noticed that my front brake calipers aren't releasing like they're supposed to, especially when they get warm. When you jack the car up. I can only get about 1 revolution out of each side. I have heard several possibilities, but I want to hear from fellow Mustang lovers.

Check to make sure the slides and the pistons move freely. Even if you compressed the piston, it could bind up if it has corrosion, debris or damage in it. Also, when you have it apart, go ahead and check your wheel bearings. They have a tendancy to wobble when they get older. It's easiest to check this with a dial indicator, but you could probably also do it by taping a string from the fender.

if your fluid res is dirty you might want to take the calipers apart and use brake cleaner. if they are rusted under the seal at the piston, clean up the rust or replace the whole thing. if it has abs maybe the pressure relief valve is screwed up? i doubt that though
