Replacing Abs Sensors

  1. Im replacing my abs sensors but i dont have a torque wrench to tightne the bolt into the axle.. could i get away without using the torque wrench or do i need to use it? If its a must what size torque wrench do i need?
  2. A quick search of the Internet didn't turn up the torque specs for these sensors. If the spec is for ft-lbs then you may be able to borrow a torque wrench from your local auto parts store. I've done that with my local Advance Auto Parts, but you may need to reserve it if it's a weekend job. If it's in-lbs then you may have to guess like I did when installing my front brakes. Not ideal, and you have to be careful not to over-torque. Of course, that's why you use a torque wrench...
  3. You do not need to use a torgue wrench on abs sensrs. Just snug em up and you will be fine.
