I am looking at buying a built '99 Cobra. I am wondering if someone can just tell me if this car can be a decent DD (reliability wise) and how much power they think the engine can handle. I know the stock t-45 is the weak link, but it isn't gonna be raced till I have $$$ to upgrade to atleast a TKO 500. 1999 Cobra coupe w/ 37k miles (500 on new engine) Mods are: - 03 Cobra intake cams - Spec III clutch (under 600 miles one it) - 2003 Cobra IRS Rear-end (upgraded to 4.10 gear and 31 splines instead of 28) - Custom Sub-frame connectors - Eibach lowering springs - Vortech Supercharger (9 lbs. of Boost), - 03 cat back exhaust New engine built by Modular Madness: - forged 2003 Cobra block - Ross 2618 Pistons - ModMax H-Beam Rods with ARP 2000 Bolts - New Ford Cobra 8 Bolt Crankshaft - Balanced and Blue Printed - New Ford Oil Pump - The compression ratio is 8:4:1. - Vortech blower is a SQ V-1 charger It safey dynoed 450.6 RWHP and 415.5 RWTQ.
If it was done right, I would think it would be ok. If I didn't have so many miles on my engine, I would get a bigger blower than that, but if I did that now, blowing oil is probably what would happen. good luck
