Saleen S351 quarter mile ET's

So I'm searching around for some real world numbers on these cars and I found this page: http://www.zeroto60times.com/Saleen-0-60-mph-Times.html

It says that a 94 S351 only does 14.1 in the quarter with a 5.8 0-60.

But then it says that a 98 S351 does 12.7 with a 4.5 0-60.

I thought these cars were pretty much the same. How is it that a 500 hp car can only manage 14.1 in the quarter?

If you can't tell by now, I'm bored.

Must of spun the crap out of the tires. I ran 14.19 at 94.4MPH in my 94GT with 3:55 Gears, Slicks, 14 degrees of timing and no air filter. I must have been making 200HP at the time to the wheels (maybe). Those numbers can't be right.

I ran a 13.8 with my STI, they must have run it on street tires and spun for an 1/8 mile

I had a friend in high school run a 13.2 with a stock 92' Mustang. The littlest things can make a huge difference.
