I'll try to let you know by Sat. night if I can.
My "buddy" quoted me 1200 bucks to fix my dings (maybe they don't bother me as much as I thought). So I will not be leaving the car there any time soon.
I'm going on Monday to talk to another painter.

I just got back from the Escondido cruise night, I had no idea it was that big of a scene!
Some unreal cars and tons of people, it was real fun.

Ok, Bill let me know. We could leave a little later if necessary, say 9 or so. My son wants to see the telescope at Palomar so I don't want to get there before it's open.

Before I had my car painted, I called a paint shop in Oceanside by the train station (Beaudry's Autobody) although I never got a quote from him. I also saw another paintshop in Carlsbad on State (might have been Harding) St. down by the car wash at the west end.

I've heard about the Escondido cruise. Isn't it only for pre 74 cars (I hate that)?

Yeah, I went to the shop on state st. he is in the running.
A good friend of mine is friends with the owner of the Maco in O-side, I'll talk to him on monday.

As far as the cruise in Esco, yeah it is for the old school crowd but I love some of those cars! There was plenty of other stuff there as well, Vipers, Stangs, Lightnings, Maro's.
It's just the parking spots along Grand that are reserved for the pre 72 cars.

Yeah well those are the cars I grew up with too. My first car was a 66 Fairlane with a 289. My buddy had a 68 Z/28 and we raced everything we could find. I grew up in Phoenix and cruising Central Avenue was the thing to do. It was fun since the cops were pretty tolerant most of the time.
I assume you can cruise Grand and they don't block it off for pedestrians only. Maybe I'll try it one of these Fridays.

I don't know, Jason, doesn't seem to be much interest unless Bill checks in tonite. Guess we'll add it our "to do" list in the future. Thanks for the invite though :)
