    What would you do? One of my roommates has a 05 V6- and beleives this is happening... any suggestions?

    don't just say buy a locking gas cap... links please

    a video camera. a guy did it a year or so ago when neighbor kids were vandalizing his car.

    There are fuel doors available that require a key to open. Not sure if any exist for mustangs, but having to pull a latch inside the car to have the fuel door open would be the way to go... many cars have that feature.

    Sleep in the car or park your stang a inch away from a building on the side of the gas cap so they can't open the door. Maybe install a latch on the gas cap and then lock it with a padlock. Move the gas chute to the trunk so you have to open the trunk to fill your tank.

    The possibilities are endless!

    Easiest fix. And yes I read that. And yes I gave my opinion rather than encouraging him to be a vigilante. And I'm not an advocate for purchasing items online. If the kid doesn't know where an Autozone/NAPA/CarQuest/Advanced Auto Parts/O'Rielly's is in his town, then too bad ;) Wal-Mart may even carry locking gas caps. It's not like it's a super uber cool new mod or anything. Each vehicle that I have owned has gotten a locking gas cap immediately after purchase. Now I don't have to worry about having my gas siphoned or folks putting crap in my tank.

    I know on Fox body stangs, they had the remote fuel door release. Maybe you could modify one to fit on that car.

    It's all good.. don't really need a link to find out wtf an Autozone is, ya know? Although, I do try to stay away from Autozone etc. for the most part, considering, if they do carry it, it will have 450 different colored blinking LED's that run off AA's.

    Just want to throw this in, tomorrow I don't even have finals, yet I still have an assload of homework- this sucks... NTM 2hrs of sleep last night.

    Just be cheap and stupid....and get a locking gas cap..cheap..efficient and does the job...and they will be mad when they cant twist it off.
