For those of you who have converted your pulley system to a serpentine belt system, how did you mount the alternator? Did you use the old brackets? I'm trying to use the March pulleys along with their alternator brackets and tension bar. I just can't get it all to work unless I put a bolt low on the block (I think where the smog pump went) and run the tension bar from the water pump. However it just doesn't look right to have the alternator so low on a Ford. Thanks for any help.
