Shaker Question

If you mean check that it is a 2BBL Cleveland shaker, the Cleveland had it's own shaker base compared with the 428, 390, 351W and Boss 302 which shared the common 428 base with different "tops" to set the opening fore/aft correctly and at the correct height. The Cleveland shaker top has 2 sets of holes drilled with 2v and 4v stamped at the front. The base is deeper than the other shaker bases and does not have the bump at the back underside that was made to clear a Holley carbs float adjustment nut. Not to say it won't clear, I've never tried. People mix and match shaker parts all the time, so you may have a shaker with parts from different engines. I have a snorkel from a 428CJ because the 351W snorkels are crazy expensive and unique to both 1969 and are different for the 2V and 4V.
