Ok. Got a chance to purchase new in box rims that are identical to the ones found on this Shelby 1998 Shelby Series 1 Pictures | RSportsCars.com

They are 12" in the rear and 10" in the front. I would love to fit these on my 06 GT. I have a pair of Nitto 305x45x18 DR tires that would fit the rim. Backspacing for the rear is 7 5/8".

Anyone know for sure if they would fit and clear the rear fenders? I want the tire to tuck under the fender when I launch hard and she squats.

if its a 12 inch rim and its only a 7 5/8 backspacing, I dont really see the rim tucking under the fender, its gonna stick out like a mother.

The wheel will not fit. You would need alot more backspace than 7.626" to clear the fender. You would have to measure the fender clearance to see if a 12" wide wheel would even fit with the right backspacing.
