My sister lives in CA and I live in TX. She has a 2006 Ford Mustang V6 Automatic. She cant take the key out of the ignition because the car will not go into park. It is at her local dealer with transmission problems. They are going to cover the tranny under warrenty, but want her to pay over $500 to replace the shifter because they say she spilled coke down there and messed it up. here is a pic of the damage they are saying caused the shifter problem. Did the tranny pop the shifter up? What could have caused this? They refuse to cover this under warranty. Any help would be greatly apprecitated! Thanks! Albert Juarez
she definatly spilled crap all over. now that causing the shifter to pop up like that i dont know. i dont see how soda would make that happen. she should ahve cleaned up first thats for sure.
