I've been thinking of deleting my abs to clean up some room for a cold air intake. I've had the car for nearly 8 years and never noticed it turning on. Has anyone done this and regretted it? Will i be able to turn off the abs light? Thanks
Doing it only for the purpose of making room for a CAI that might give you 1-2HP is a silly reason in my book. And if you're going down that low with the filter, you're bound to suck up some water if you get into any rain.
I have a turbo located about where the stock air box would be with the filter attached directly to it. So there is no other direction to go to get cooler air than where the abs now lies.
I would never delete the ABS. It was an option on Mustangs that year, but it is there so I would leave it. You never know when a car stops fast or pulls out in front of you. There goes your front end and all your turbo piping and intercooler.
