so here is my problem,I have a 306 that had a main girdle installed.Since the main girdle is there i cant use my stock oil pan.The block did come with a oil pan but I cant find out what brand it is.It is painted and looks like its gold under the paint.I took pics and want to see what you guys think i should do.

1)use the unnamed oil pan and see what happens
2)get a aftermarket oil pan.I will need a brand that i can fit bassani 15/8 to 1 7/8 longtubes.Work with the stock kmember and energy suspension mounts.
3)I remove the main girdle.

Personally, no.

It has obviously been damaged before...who knows if it is going to leak. Unless you did the repairs yourself, and are 100% sure of them, I would recommend buying a new one. If it fails or leaks, lack of oil is a very bad thing.
