Who runs tubes and who runs w/ out tubes on slicks and why? I have heard that you can run w/ out tubes as long as you dont have the PSI to low and that when running tubes the wrinkle in the slick will cause the tube to tear? Are Tubes really necessary or can you go w/ out them?
Interesting question. I have always used MH Racemaster, wrinkel wall musclecar tires, because they are marked tubeless, and are DOT tires. I had an accident last year, the diff broke and loocked bouth wheels. The car slide sideways, and my Racemaster tires hold up. They didnt punkture, or disapper from the wheel. Good link. Im on that site but I dont go there to much. After reading that it makes me want to run tubes but then the question of screw's comes up. Im going to try it w/ tubes and no screws and if I see that my slick is moving on the wheel then I'll get screws.
