Hey guys.. i have a little problem with my 85 gt i am hoping you can help with.. I noticed today that my temp gauge was reading hot.. Well, my gauges are a little jiggy, and i can usually ap on them and it will go back down.. well, today no go, so i pulled over.. Popped the hood, checked the oil.. no problem, wasnt low, wasnt milky.. Start her up and let it idle.. gauge is reading a bit better, still way too hot though (on the h) and the driver side tail pipe is smoking like a freight train... but no smoke at all from the passenger side?!? The car rane fine, no power loss, so i do not think i have lost compression, although i have yet to run a check.. water level was fine, so shouldnt have overheated? Unless fan clutch or something has screwed up.. But about the smoke?? One isde only would make me thing bad rings.. pulled the pcv valve, no blow by.. i dont have a clue? Perhaps my exhust leak on the driver side header might have some play in this?

Thanks for any help,

Adam
