I'm moving to RAF Mildenhall in a couple months and I currently (as well as in the future!) own a 1999 Mustang GT Coupe 5-sp. The only reason i am not brining it to merry ol' England is that my wife doesn't know how to drive it and frankly...is too scared of it. I would have loved bringing it though so I can see the looks on the locals faces when they heard the grumbling Flowmasters! It's gonna sit statside for the three years i'm gone.......:( Anyhow, "Cheers" as you all say over there and I look forward to living in the UK for a few years! :nice:

I went over the pond a few months ago with the GF. She is originally from there (UK) and came to the US 11 years ago with her parents. She just graduated university here and her parents paid for the 2 round trip tickets so she can see the rest of her family there. We spent a week in Scottland and a week in Essex, England. The entire time there is was missing my car. Didn't see not 1 stang, but did see a Lambo when we left the airport but gramps Rover couldn't keep up with it. Not like I was gonna ask him to.

My girl asked me if I'd go back with her for another holiday? My first thought was .... only if the stang comes with us. But then again, that would be way too much to import it for just 2 weeks ...... It'd be nice to see how to see how it would take to the roads and to get reactions from everyone.

But I'd deff go back. :nice:

We spent our last week of the trip in Brentwood, which if we jumped on the fast train, we made it into London in 20 - 25 min. Enjoy the sun?? Course, Both times that we went into London we caught periods of rain here and there because I tried to squeeze in as much sight seeing as possible. Big Ben, the London Eye, etc. All in all, I had a great time and took over 1000 pics in 2 weeks. :nice:

The GF just told me that we have pics on photo bucket so I'll post some when I get out of work.

I had a great time. Would deff do it again if the plane fair wasn't so damn much. I was very WOW in London. Seeing things that I sometimes see on TV then seeing it in real time was great. We are planning on going back, just no real date set.

I feel like a pro with the Underground. "Mind the Gap" :nice:

As far as the pics, I found some from Scotland but she hasn't up loaded the pics from the UK. I have no idea why but i'm gonna get on her to do so. Here are a few of them .....

For some reason - I love this pic. I was told that the population of the sheep out number the actual people there.

I'm still looking for hte other pics.

There's quite a few here at RAF Lakenheath. In a couple weeks there's a car show as well, so I'll try and snap some pics and show you all what's here now.

I see a lot every day here. But yesterday I got my first headlight flash from a fellow GT Owner. Passing on the road he just flashed his brights twice to me. That is very unusual. When I had my retro Thunderbird I didn't see that many on the road, but when I did see one we always acknowledged each other. I didn't expect anyone with Mustangs to do that because they are just so common here. It was nice...think I'll try to flash my brights at a few and see what happens.
