So these past two weeks have been interesting for me!

Well, on the 17th my roommate's and I were still without a house for the next month with our lease ending on the 31st. So one of my roommates and I head to the university to use the internet for our search. Earlier in the day it had been raining and the roads were still wet. As we pass under a bridge we both look to the right and see a Toyota Camry going side to side on the exit ramp that merges onto the six-lane road we were on. My roommate's reaction was to point and say "Wow! Look at that idiot!" At the same time I am acclerating and swerving into the left lane due to my horrible habit of abiding by the law and driving on the right. Just as I think we have escaped the airbags explode, and we're are now spinning. I remember my airbag being out and turning the wheel back and forth; into the skid as we're going forward, and the other way as we go backwards, anything to keep the car out of the opposing 3 lanes of rush hour traffic. Amazingly the car stops perfectly aligned in the center left turn lane, but facing the opposite direction, we had done a 540*.

My car is declared a total loss by the other driver's insurance. The adjuster told my dad the car was in great condition. My dad's repsonse, "No ****. He was planning on keeping it for a while." So now I have no car on top of the stress of having to find a house.
Fast forward to yesterday. We have just signed a lease on an awesome 3600sq/ft house and I have learned we are getting a reasonable amount for the car. So as I have a place to move into I continue my search for a car.
Well, my crappy job at Best Buy is demanding 30 hours a week out of me, giving me no time to find a car. I do have a rental but there is a limited amount of time that the insurance will pay for the rental. It would not be economical for me rent a car for the sole purpose of attending work, because they simply don't pay that much. So I tell my boss I need the weekend off to look for a car. His response, "What did you do during your days off?" Hmm...two days to find a decent used Mustang GT. I guess some people are just born stupid; especially since there's no cars out there when you need something.:bang:
So I quit my job as I told my boss I basically don't give a crap about BBY over trying to find a nice car(my car was nice, why should I buy a POS?); I think I have my priorities straight. I'm not too upset about having to quit as it really is the best thing for me right now with all the stress and other things going on in my life. I just can't believe an employer I have been with for 3 years couldn't possibly be a little more accomodating. Even my roommate that was in the accident with me commented on how his last boss asked "How much time do you need?", when he quit his job.
So now I have no job or car. Fortunately I won't be needing a job until I get a car. So I have about a month to find something really nice. Just had to vent about my stressful two weeks and post the pics of my poor dead 2001. The most depressing part was watching them move it around on a forklift at the wrecking yard when I went to retrieve my audio system and grille delete. :(
